Sacred Wound Alchemy works with a profound truth: The way you live into your destiny- your unique way of belonging to the world -is inextricably linked, as if by a golden thread, to your deepest sensitivities and vulnerabilities. One key to living into your destiny lies in how you relate to your core vulnerability or wound—your most painful place.
The core wound is often recognized as the source of our greatest vulnerability and with it comes pain, grief, fear, anger, defendedness, stuckness and/or avoidance. Through the necessary and foundational work of cultivating our psychological wholeness and the reclamation work of healing, the core-wound can be tolerated and ultimately embraced and integrated. A foundation of personal growth, authenticity and sense of wellbeing can be achieved.
Once such a foundation has been cultivated, Sacred Wound Alchemy opens us to yet a deeper layer and opportunity; one rooted in the life of our soul. In this multi-week exploration you will be supported, through a series of nature, mystery and arts-based processes, to invite your core wound to reveal a thread of your soul story. A larger story than simply an historical account of ones life from birth until present, the soul story can only be known and expressed through enlivening mythological and poetic language & imagery. It enables us to perceive the constellation of symbols, metaphors and patterns of connection that can point toward the deepest meaning of our individual existence.
You are invited to join me and a small group of others to reverently explore the light and dark, fecund soil of our lives. You’ll be invited to remember and live into your strengths, inner capacities and resources, that which you love and brings you deep satisfaction, your fascinations, big dreams and core imagery, your deepest grief—all the while circling around, again and again, to touch in with your core wound/vulnerability.
After we have cultivated enough of our innate human wholeness–and through a kind of grace– the alchemizing process from core wound to sacred wound can really progress. Are you willing? This program might be a fit for you if: 1) You have consciously explored and tended your wounds and are neither dominated by -nor walled off from- the feelings and sensibilities that arise from what you recognize as your most vulnerable or most painful place. And, 2) You are seeking to embody your unique way of belonging, or destiny, in the World. 3) And, you are open to explore soul-centric perspectives such as… it’s through our most vulnerable and/or painful place, that the World or Mystery can find us, drawing us forth to live in soul-rooted belonging and service to the World. This too is the territory we will seek to explore.
The program fee includes one soul-oriented mentoring session with Mary in addition to the group sessions. Soulcraft ™ and other nature & arts based practices will assist us to delve into our hearts, histories, bodies, and the mysteries of nature and psyche. These may include: Crafting personally meaningful art and collage, recalling our personal wound patterns and stories in service to discovering the hidden treasure, a Day Walk, personal myth writing and telling, journaling, embodied expressive movement, council, self-designed ceremony, deep imagery processes, intentional wandering on the land and conversations with wild nature.
